Cookies with Gigi

Every year my mother in law, Jeanne (Gigi), has Henry and Ruth over to make holiday cookies. The name of the recipe is A+ cookies. Its a family recipe and is much like a sugar cookie. She always gets out the same cookie cutters, rolling pins, aprons and chef hats, and Henry and Ruth reminisce about which ones they remember from the year before. Gigi’s favorite cookie cutter is a biscuit cutter that was passed down from her mom.  She has had it since her boys were little and her mom (Memo) would come over to make cookies for Christmas.  It is at least 50 years old.

Henry, Ruth and Gigi look forward to every year, and George will too. They have created their own tradition, which to Jeanne, family tradition is a way of life. I am so thankful for these memories they are creating together. Thank you Gigi for loving our kids as much as you do!
