Ella, Luke and Wilson

Oh where to begin! These babies had a story before they even made it to the world. They were born around 26 weeks to mama’s Kelly and Kristen. They were in the hospital for over 100 days (K and K- correct me if I’m messing up here!) Ella was 2 lbs (I think) and Luke and Wilson were just over a pound. Between them they have had numerous surgeries but all three are little fighters and today they are healthy and happy and HOME!!! They are about 4 months old now, though they are still teeny tiny. So I really didn’t know what to expect for this shoot, the boys are 8 pounds and Ella is about 11 so they are about the size of newborns but with minds of a 4 month old! So the sleepy undisturbed poses were out of the question, at one point someone even said ‘this is just a big squirmfest’ which made me laugh! In the short time I was with them I got to see each little personality. Ella was very sweet, I felt like she a little bit was the leader but I could be wrong- maybe I just think that because she is the biggest. Will seemed very chill and laid back. He is the one in the green blanket. And Luke just made me laugh the whole time. He was very animated and randomly slept. Kelly and Kristen- thank you for having me photograph these babies. They are amazing and you both make this look easy though I know it’s not! I can’t wait to see these babies grow!
