Julie, Nicholas and Lilly

When I scheduled this session I knew that Julie had an upcoming surgery, but for what I had no clue.  I just knew she wanted to get the shoot in before the surgery because the recovery was rather extensive.  So when I met her at the park for the shoot, I saw the hat and I knew it must have been for some type of cancer.  Julie was about to undergo a double mastectomy the following Monday.  She told me a little bit about her journey with breast cancer and I was amazed by her strength and how comfortable she was with her baldness and her upcoming surgery.  She really was inspiring and her children absolutely adored her.  Julie is only a little bit older than me and the thought of having to go through what she has endured is mind boggling to me.  She is one powerful lady!  Keep healing Julie and keep that amazing attitude.
